OVERVIEW

Prefabricated mild steel and stainless steel are widely used in water treatment of swimming pool and Spa . To protect against corrosion , mild steel filters are either lined (eg with rubber or similar)  or  coated   (eg  with   epoxy   paint) .  With   correctly manufactured ,   maintained   and   refurbished   ( including relining/recoating) , steel filters will last tens of years . Stainless steel has proved successful for swimming pool and Spa filters , which is resistant to pool water chemicals .

A horizontal filter is the ideal choice in cases where a great volume of water is to be treated , and in cases which require optimization of the available space , as a single horizontal filter can substitute up to 3 vertical filters of the same diameter simply by increasing its length .
